What is HPRCA?
Who runs this
The Himachal Pradesh Rajya Chayan Aayog, headquartered in Hamirpur, is the state body that conducts recruitment exams for non-gazetted posts across HP government departments — from revenue-field staff to teachers, clerks, technicians and paramedical roles. Think of it as the state’s shared recruitment engine: one registration system, one exam pattern family, many posts.

How to Prepare for HPRCA Exams
Check the pattern first
Marks, duration and negative-marking rules shift slightly between notification cycles — confirm the current one before you plan.
Build HP-specific GK
Himachal history, geography, culture and government schemes recur across almost every HPRCA exam, not just Patwari.
Drill previous papers
Past Patwari, TGT and JOA papers reveal which topics repeat and how difficulty has shifted over recent years.
Don't skip Hindi & English
Grammar-based questions in both languages appear across nearly every post, from Patwari to Junior Clerk.
Time yourself
Most CBTs run 90–120 minutes for 100–120 questions — practice under that exact clock, not an open one.
Watch the notice board weekly
Admit cards, objection windows and answer keys move fast; a weekly check of the official site avoids missed deadlines.
